We are a reputable approved EASA Part-147 (approval number UK.147.0057) Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO), providing aircraft engineering training in the B1.1 Aeroplanes Turbine and B2 Avionics categories. Engineers come to us throughout their careers, to gain the necessary qualifications and knowledge needed to maintain large commercial air transport (Group 1) aircraft.

Storm Aviation’s Training Suite,  delivers A320 CEO (V2500 & CFM56) and A380-800 (RR Trent 900 & EA GP7200) training to a mixture of internal and external staff, with practical training being delivered in key UK locations.

Job Role

Working as part of the Training team, reporting to the Senior Training Administrator and in addition to the duties below, this role will be key in supporting the organisation of courses, sharing accurate information with trainees, communicating & liaising directly with customers and instructors, creating course paperwork and accurate course data entry, and hold a clear understanding of processes, training milestones and the need for compliance with regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for double check hardcopy versus digital records.
  • Invigilation of examinations.
  • Organisation of visas, airport passes for trainees.
  • Sending/receiving contracts.
  • Liaising with head office and courses at distance effectively.
  • Preparing classrooms and materials pre/post training.
  • Preparation of examination packs.
  • Checking of course documentation.
  • Preparation of certificates.
  • Dispatch of documents through mail/courier.
  • Team spirit.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work as part of the training team and head office as a whole.
  • Checking notes and materials against revision status.
  • Digital loading of courses material and other items onto USB sticks/uploading to websites/training systems.
  • Updating of the Course Data Sheet/Course Control Log/Training Plan and other data/Excel sheets as necessary.
  • Carry out tasks/ad hoc duties as detailed by the Senior Training Administrator and/or Head of Training and/or Training department

The essential requirements for this post are:

  • Minimum O level/GCSE A-C pass grades
  • Previous administrative experience in a similar environment would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Hold the right to work in the UK – proof is required as part of our shortlisting process
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English

Location & Working Pattern:

Head Office based – Diamond Hangar, Stansted

24 Hours per week (3 full days or 5 part days – to be negotiated with candidate)

(Full time hours are Mon-Thurs, 8.30am – 5pm, Fri 8.30am – 2.30pm, with 30 mins daily unpaid lunch break)
