Technical Training Instructors – Part-147 Technical Training

Job Purpose:
The Technical Instructor reports to the Head of Training and is responsible for delivering, maintaining and creating training material within the Part-66/145/147 regulatory framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- SME (Subject Matter Expert) on A320 family B1.1/B2 and associated supporting subjects (EGR, FTS, HF, ETOPS etc).
- Delivery of compliant training online and in person at locations worldwide.
- Checking that courses and procedures have been correctly followed and that compliance is maintained.
- Ensure courses delivered are compliant by managing supporting documentation.
- Creation/authoring technical training material and supporting documentation (TNAs/schedules, examinations).
- Remain recent on aircraft types/topics held on company authorisation and complete 35-hours update training.
- Examiner for aircraft types held by Part-147, perform examination analysis and exam question database review and update in support of the Chief Examiner.
- Support Part-145 training requirements – Recurrent and Safety Training and those required by the engineering department.
- Provide documental crosschecking for course record closure.
- Support the training department during internal/external audits. Answer/provide valid causal factors, corrective/preventative actions to findings relevant to position/authorisation.
- Actively involved with continuous improvement of training delivery and process.
Essential skills
- Aircraft maintenance experience within commercial aviation and knowledge of airline maintenance procedures.
- 2-5 years of aviation training experience, preferably in the commercial aircraft maintenance sector.
- A highly motivated individual with willingness to work independently or as a team.
- Highly organised, while demonstrating attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple ongoing projects.
- Detailed understanding of Part-66/147 and associated training regulations and requirements to stay compliant. Understanding of local company Part-147 MTOE (UK CAA & EASA) procedures outlining training procedures will be crucial.
- Demonstrates strong aviation community ethos to development, and recency with regards latest changes in technology/SBs/Ads.
- First class verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to track personal KPI’s.
- Proficient with associated aircraft maintenance documentation (Airbus World, Boeing Toolbox) and relevant aircraft manuals (AMM, IPC, TSM/FIM etc).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint..)
This role is based in Stansted, Essex
